TIC business is made up of two reportable segments, industrial and consumer, which provide comprehensive testing, inspection and certification services to customers across a broad array of end markets. E&A business provides subscription and license-based software and advisory services to support customers’ risk management, sustainability and compliance processes. The company was founded by William Henry Merrill Jr. in 1893 and is headquartered in Northbrook, IL.
