Wall Street Gains Ground Amid Fresh Fed Dovish Tone

“While still notable, we would point out that as option volumes continue to grow, expiration volumes are going to get larger and larger as well, all else equal,” Chris Jacobson, a derivatives analyst at Susquehanna International Group, told Barron’s. “Further, with stocks broadly near the all-time highs, those measures that track notional expiration values are going to naturally move higher as well.” Markets have been muted so far today, but the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite did both fall suddenly Friday morning after opening higher.
